On an unrelated note (to this chimp kick anyway) the Mercenary Coalition keeps turning up in Fountain/CR and I'm kinda wondering what the deal is, or indeed if there is a deal (because they are a Coalition of Mercenaries.) I mean it seems unlikely for a number of reasons but yesterday for example apparently we were fighting the Fountain guys while they tried to SBU J5A and then an MC gang/fleet/w/e jumped in

Minor morning update to Clusterfuck activities: the BLAST Ihub in 4-EP12 (http://evemaps.dotlan.net/system/4-EP12) was knocked into armor reinforcement. Its last reinforcement cycle comes out Saturday during euro-prime. We ganked a carrier just a little bit too far outside the pos shields: https://killboard.goonfleet.com/km/498514. This only interesting because our fleet contained 30 maelstroms, which is interesting given that we are still 4 days from the learning skill reimbursement. Goons & the rest of the clusterfuck are embracing Alphafleet with much more enthusiasm than any fleet doctrine I can recall since Amarrswarm.

But.... Blade. Didn't have a fleet posted for this according to local experts in PNQY-. So its not surprising they only had 100 :(. Also the brave pilots of TALOS reinforced the second goon tower in pnqy after a 3 hour struggle with the pos and its gunners. (hint: the tower had no online guns, only neuts :toot:)

Just from watching Proxay talk on shitheap, I get the impression that Fountain residents have communication issues in general without IT to coordinate defense.
I also get the impression, although I'm sure he'd contest it vigorously, that the Fountain residents don't particularly like or respect each other. At least earlier this year, even IT didn't know HUN Reloaded's jumpbridge passwords, for instance.

For our USTZ Friday afternoon operations in Fountain, we repped the POS in PNQY which the Fountain pets had spent 3 hours reinforcing the night before. We broke for a few hours, then assembled a fleet and moved to 9-VO0Q (http://evemaps.dotlan.net/system/9-VO0Q) where we stopped the Fountain residents from shooting our SBUs and then began shooting the IHUB.
Our numbers were initially a little over 250 with opposing forces somewhere around 220-240 (local was close to 500). A white noise bomber wing had a pretty successful bombing run at the TALOS IHUB that took out a decent number of our ships (mostly little shit), and reduced the clusterfuck fleet to roughly the same size as the opposing forces. The opposing FC chose not to engage however, and we bubbled ourselves and picked off their bombers as they attempted to hit our fleet. Ihub was reinforced into its final cycle, the TALOS JB incapped, then the JB pos defanged. We did a few pos bowling runs then headed home.
